Twenty years experience in the field of wind energy is a fine thing. One thing we’ve learned along the way: Development never stands still. New experiences are always being made that lead to further systems optimizations. Naturally, these experiences should not happen at your cost. For that reason, we rigorously test all newly designed components according to qualification measures before installing them in a pitch system.
A component is only used after it has fulfilled all necessary requirements. And then it is tested once again as part of a total system. Furthermore, all prototypes are tested to ensure that they meet customer requirements. This includes runnning every pitch system through a complete systems test – encompaassing every plug, motor and cabinet.
Our engineers call it a “Factory Acceptance Test.” One could also call the best way to an optimal system.

We could make it easy on ourselves and simply replace a defective part. Given our extensive stock this would be a simple task. But we’re not that easily satisfied. We want to be know what caused the failure. Only then can we ensure a longterm solution to the problem.
Did the failure result from a less than optimal system design? Or was there a charge error? Instead of simply replacing the part, our engineers share experiences and carefully analyse every faulty part. These experiences shape the groundwork for future optimizations and developments.
