SSB Wind Systems GmbH & Co. KG ranked Top Engineering Employer 2010

SSB Wind Systems GmbH & Co. KG has become one of the leading producers of electrical pitch systems for WTG. Recently, the company, located in Salzbergen, Germany, was ranked as "Top Engineering Employer 2010" by the CRF Institute. During the exhibition Husum WindEnergy 2010, SSB Wind Systems participates in the job fair „windcareer 2010“ which will connect employers and employees in a professional setting.
This is the third year in a row that the internationally active CRF Institute has awarded German businesses for being top ranking employers in the field of engineering. Participating companies are judged on the basis of their scores in the areas of corporate culture, salary, work-life balance, career development, job security and innovations management.

SSB Wind Systems was commended on several grounds including providing employees with an excellent workplace that helps nurture and grow an independent approach to work. Furthermore, SSB offers an international environment with opportunities to work abroad. SSB was also noted for its family-friendly business policies – many engineers have already taken advantage of their right to parental leave and, in general, have more time for their families thanks to a flexible work schedule. Its education and training program for students seeking a Bachelor of Engineering has forged new paths in business cooperation with regional universities.

This year a total of 26 German companies qualified for the title: "Top Engineering Employer 2010." The top engineering employers came from all key economic sectors – ranging from the automobile industry, to machinery and plant engineering, and including the medical and transport sectors. The chosen companies represent a cross-section of business in, or from, Germany and include family-run businesses as well as internationally operating corporations.

"We are incredibly pleased about this award. It reflects the goals towards which we have been working for several years now," says Marlies Hoffrogge, Head of Human Resources, SSB Wind Systems, "to be an attractive employer for engineers in our region."
